Venue booked!

Thank you to Kuya Willie of L&J Catering. It's really a good decision that we hired him as our caterer. He has a lot of contacts and suggestions to our queries and one of them is our Reception Venue.

Since we'll be having our wedding in the morning, our reception party will continue at exactly lunch time.

I'd really love to have a garden type. I wanted either Sonya's Garden or Taaleña. But due to budget constraints, we crossed that out in our lists and looked for much affordable wedding venue.

I tried searching for Tagaytay venues and blogged it here, but unfortunately we can't afford any of those. Gladly, Kuya Willie of L&J Catering offered us Casino Filipino Tagaytay as our venue. He used to have a lot of weddings there. He's very familiar with the place and people also. He suggested that it's better for us to have an indoor reception because of the timing, and yes we agreed with that factor.

The venue cost Php 10,000.00 for their Hall and Kuya Willie said that he'll be the one who will settle everything with Casino's head office to block our date. Hayyyy!!! What a relief from us. Yay!

The only cons I could see in this place is, its quite far to Caleruega. It will take at least 30 minutes to reach the place. The Hall has a low ceiling, and a bit old. But we'll just put our trust to Kuya Willie that he can make our venue a pleasing one.

We didn't pay for any down payment in Casino. We just made our reservation for L&J Catering under Kuya Willie, and he will take charge of the over-all costings which includes the venue.

Still, keep on praying so everything will turn out well.

Best Catch: L&J Catering Tagaytay

As mentioned on my previous post, when Mr. J and I finally decided to get married in Tagaytay, we only had one caterer at the top of our minds - it's Kuya Willie Gatpandan of L&J Catering.

Initially, we searched for Tagaytay caterer online, and listed some suggestions from it. We're looking for one that will fit our budget, but could execute their works properly. Someone who could help us up since we're both overseas, and most importantly - the one we could trust.

Upon thorough scouting and reviewing feed backs, we felt the "this is it feeling" through L&J Catering. As a budget couple, yes we're looking for an affordable one but we'll have to make sure that the price won't sacrifice their works. We've seen that through Kuya Willie's work or I must say: "hard work". They're offering a very reasonable rates, but their services will exceed the amount you've paid for (as per their former clients' reviews.)

Whenever I am looking at his works, I can see heart and passion on it. They may not be as high-leveled one compared to others in the industry, but they'll make sure that their couples will not regret of getting their services. If you'll read couples' reviews through their page, all were just good praises and undying appreciation towards them for everything. Not just for Kuya Willie itself, but for the whole team of L&J Catering. They really appreciate the good service, set-up, freebies (yay!), and most especially for the deliciously served foods.

I am glad that as they continue to serve, they're exploring new things and applying it to their works. I can see trends, transitions and upgrades in styling set-ups. For me, it means that they're paying it back for all the successes that they've received. They didn't stop on improving their services and to excel. They pursue, they strive harder, to do and give more from their God-given talents for the happiness of their clients.

It didn't even bother us to get Kuya Willie's services even though we're not familiar with him. By seeing his works with complete touch of love and passion, by reading all the bestest words from their former clients, he already got our hearts. Above all, gained our TRUSTS and that's what really matter to us.

Ohh, before I forgot - L&J got several awards because of their excellent services towards their client with complete satisfaction. He's really prompt in your queries, and respectful too. He's very open with details and suggestions.

We will update everything next year 2-3 months prior to the wedding date.

We're praying that everything will turn out well next year.

Thanks to Girlktalk Forum I've known a lot of things with regards to wedding preps.

Hiring a wedding coordinator / planner is really a must-have for soon to be wedded couples. With the professional guidance of an event coordinator, the couple will learn how to sort things out properly.

I am proud to say that we're an overseas hands-on BUDGET couple. HAHA! Yes, budget is really important to us, hence i need to give emphasize on it.

Usually, upon inquiry, coordinator will fully explain their complete duties and responsibilities as per package.

Wedding coordinator here in PH usually has these types of packages:

1. OTD (On-The Day) Coordination Package - This package suits for a very hands-on couple. The couple will arrange and book all the suppliers that they need, then will turn it over to the coordinator prior to the wedding day. (Time frame usually depends on the planner that you'll get.) From the word itself, OTD - they'll be more focus on the day of the wedding.
2. Semi Coordination Package - This package means the couple already settled at least half of the preparation and can no longer continue by themselves. By then, the coordinator will shoulder the remaining tasks until it's fully done. OTD also included in this package.
3. Full Coordination Package - The couple will just need to provide their budget and time frame. This means the coordinator will take charge of the over-all preparation. The planner will be the one who will scout for all the needed suppliers and present it to the couple for approval. This is commonly preferred by couples who are working overseas or couples with very busy schedules who cannot have an ample of time for preparation. OTD also included in this package.
