Wedding Considerations

credit: http://campus-to-career.com
Since Mr. J and I finally agreed on getting married next year, we've had a lot of things to consider. Who, What, When, Where, and How. These questions were always on our minds.

Initially, we thought of having our wedding in our hometown - in San Jose Del Monte Bulacan.
  • Church - St. Peter Parish ~ church that is close to our hearts.
  • Venue - Countless venues / resorts located there as well. But most of them are expensive ranging from 25K and up.
  • Guests - Most of our relatives and closest friends residing there. But some are in Manila, especially our workmates.
  • Accessibility - Some of our guests will be travelling for 2 hrs since they are from Manila.
  • Suppliers - Need to consider OOT Fees since Bulacan is province already, esp if the supplier will be coming from Manila.
We also considered having our wedding in Manila, specifically in Caloocan Area. Both of us stayed in Manila to work for quite some time. We've had our second family there, some members in our boarding house who have been so close to our hearts. We gained a lot of friend as well through our workmates.
  • Church - We considered Shrine of Our Lady of Grace in Caloocan.
  • Venue - Most of the venues are located in QC and Manila, hence transfer of guests and traffic will become an issue i think.
  • Guests - Accessible for our workmates, but our family members and relatives need to travel for an hour or two to reach the area.
  • Accessibility - Some of our relatives and family will travel for 2 hrs i guess.
  • Suppliers - There are a lot of suppliers in Manila, hence not paying an OOT Fee will be quite an advantage.
We thought of having a destination wedding also. When it comes to destination, Tagaytay crossed our minds. Aside from being the nearest and most accessible destination wedding place, we considered Tagaytay because my dream wedding church is located within the area.
  • Church - My Dream Church ~ Transfiguration Chapel of Caleruega.
  • Venue - A lot of venues located in the area. Picturesque and a nice-to-have destination wedding. We just need to choose a venue that will fit our budget.
  • Guests - For those living in Manila, they'll just travel for roughly 2 hours to reach the area. For our family, They need at least 4 hours i guess.
  • Accessibility - All of our guests will be travelling there to witness our once in a lifetime event.
  • Suppliers - Since Tagaytay is a wedding destination, we're pretty sure that there will be a lot of suppliers in the area.
At the end of the day, whatever will be our decision is, the most important part will always be this:

"We will be marrying the person that we want to spend the rest of our lives with."

xoxo,
AnJ ♥
